my story

My ancestors are farmers from a tiny island across the world, and thus being nourished by the soil, runs in my blood.

Having grown up between California and Arkansas, I am inspired by food from the land and the wisdom of small farmers.

I embarked on formal culinary studies at Brightwater Culinary and at the Sayuri Institute of Food, in Bali.

Hungry for knowledge, technique and growth, I traveled to London, Paris and Sri Lanka, to learn from both home and professional chefs.

My passion is showcasing coastal South Asian cuisine and the beautiful pastries of classic artisans. I am inspired by local ingredients sourced by small farmers from around the world.

In my free time you'll find me spoiling my dogs + family, digging for crystals in the mountains of Arkansas, or learning a new recipe in some far corner of the world.
